I have spent 15 years building the integrated therapy approach that I offer today. My early career was as a theatre artist in Vancouver, spending years in personal and collaborative creative processes. Through theatre and art creation I came to understand the importance of the body for expression, health, and self-knowledge, which in turn sparked a desire to deepen my practice and knowledge of yoga.

I spent a year in Los Angeles studying yoga, primarily under the mentorship of master therapeutics instructor, Jasmine Lieb. While teaching (in LA and then in Vancouver) clients would discuss their personal life and traumas with me after class. This sparked a desire to investigate the body-mind connection further. I began training in Somatic Experiencing® (SE). Learning about nervous system health was profound, and I spent three years cultivating a deeper understanding of the body-mind connection through an SE lens.

In pursuit of more information about therapeutic practices, I returned to my roots in art creation with an MA in Creative Arts Therapy at Concordia University in Montreal. During my training – inspired by my own experiences – I focused my research on traumatic childbirth, and developed a special interest in women's health: the preconception, conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences of the mother; and parenting in general. I have also developed a passion for cultural response-ability; it is important to me that my work is accessible to all clients, however they identify.

Today, I combine all of this knowledge and experience to offer the unique combination of a body-mind based, trauma informed, creative therapy.
